There are so many mysteries out there in the world when it comes to animals - so many things we don't know, so many pieces of history that faded over time. Even we, as people who are more obsessed than most with animals, know that there is so much that we don't know. And every time we discover something new, we are absolutely ecstatic. It could be little things like finding out just how big wolves actually are all the way to big things like learning about the most wonderous ocean animals or learning the truth about fossils in the Appalachian mountains.

Every small mystery solved makes our day, and that's definitely the case for this twitter thread. We almost skipped past it the first time we came across it, but we are so glad that we didn't, because this thread was one of the most interesting and most unexpectedly emotional threads that we have ever come across.

This thread was one of the most random that we have seen in a while. If it hadn't gone as viral as it is, we don't know that we would have even read it. But we did. And we're glad. Of all the ways it could have gone, we're glad it was one that we could cover here on Animal Comedy.
